- Our U.S. plants build nearly two-thirds of the Honda and Acura vehicles sold here.
- We have deep roots in America with $25 billion in capital investment, $1.5 billion in R&D, and 12 manufacturing plants, including eight auto and engine plants.
- We recently invested another $1 billion on the retooling of our Ohio plants so we can build the vehicles of the future here. With flexible manufacturing, we can quickly respond to consumer demand with the ability to build ICE, hybrids and EV models, all on the same line.
- We are 100% compliant with USMCA policies, which means that even our vehicles assembled in Canada and Mexico have significant US-sourced content.
- Honda has 30,000 associates in the US, and our auto dealers provide another 92,000 jobs.

Over the past few months there have been several announcements regarding significant new tariffs on imported auto parts, materials, and fully built vehicles. All of these tariffs have an impact on the auto industry and Honda. However, based on our strong commitment to our customers, we want to confirm that we are not making adjustments to our pricing at this time.
As you can imagine, fully assessing the impact of tariffs is challenging due to the complicated nature of our business. However, we want to give you some insight into Honda operations in the United States and how our 40+ year commitment to “build where we sell” benefits us both as we navigate these challenging times.
These tariffs will have a significant financial impact on Honda. But, our longstanding commitment to investing in America positions us better than most automakers in this evolving business environment. We plan to take advantage of our strengths and continue to build our business and achieve our original plan to grow sales, for both brands, by more than 5% in 2025 by focusing on the customer. This includes a focus on building trust by considering the potential negative impact that tariffs may have on our customers and making every effort to limit it.
To that end, again, we are not making adjustments to our pricing at this time.”
