What the Critics Say
What’s New for 2023
The popular Honda HR-V has undergone a total refresh both inside and out for the 2023 model year. This all-new HR-V rides on a new platform that’s based on the 11th generation Civic that delivers a longer wheelbase, more robust 2.0L engine, and sleeker exterior styling. Similarly, the cabin receives a makeover that includes a streamlined dashboard, new technology features, and more driver-assist amenities as well. It’s expected that the all-new Honda HR-V will set an entirely new standard for the subcompact SUV segment.
Honda HR-V Features
Designed to help you stand out from the ordinary, the Honda HR-V features slender LED headlights, honeycomb front grille, and a slim rear roofline spoiler at the rear. Looking to make an even bolder statement? Located between the LX and EX grades, the HR-V Sport includes a unique gloss black grille, exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, and a matte black bumper. Topping the HR-V model lineup is the luxurious EX-L trim. EX-L grades receive gloss black exterior accents and 17-inch machined alloy wheels.
Performance & Capability
Whether your weekend is filled with work or play, the Honda HR-V has the capability, performance, and efficiency to help you get everything done. Power comes in the form of a standard 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine that cranks out a total of 158 horsepower and the ultimate combination of response and efficiency. All HR-V models also come paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) featuring enhanced shift mapping for smooth acceleration at all speeds. Great for those who love to get out and chase adventure, the optional Real-Time All-Wheel Drive system lets you excel in harsh weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow. Its compact footprint makes it effortless to squeeze the HR-V in or out of a tight parking space.
Two aspects of the Honda HR-V that separates it from the competition are its unmatched versatility and expansive cargo capacity. Thanks to a standard 60/40 split-folding rear seat, it’s easy to adapt the interior of your HR-V to carry a mix of both passengers and cargo. A total of 98.7 cubic feet of passenger space means that all occupants will have plenty of room to stretch out on longer journeys. Additional sound-deadening measures including Active Noise Cancellation and sound-deadening materials help increase refinement even further.
Looking for the latest in technology features? The Honda HR-V offers access to your favorite multimedia features using the Display Audio system featuring both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. For even greater confidence behind the wheel, the HR-V can also be equipped with a wide range of active driver-assist features.
Found on all Honda HR-V trim levels, the groundbreaking Honda Sensing® suite of active safety and driver-assistive features helps you stay one step ahead of danger. Cutting-edge features included in this collection are the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) incorporating Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Thanks to the next-generation Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, the HR-V offers superior protection in the event of a crash.
